I guess no one was too interested in taking my brain quiz. :P Oh well... I thought it was cool. It doesn't have any pictures though so I guess I understand why it's not as fun as some of the other stuff I post.

I did my speech about myself today. It went actually really well. I think I might have spoken a little too long, but overall it wasn't horrible or anything. I watched the tape when I got back to my room, and I wasn't mortified.... so that's always a good sign. Time to go freeze in the gallery...
Hmmm.. I don't think this really describes me... but oohh wellll....
Magdalen
Your medieval name is: Magdalen. Out of conformity
and inducing sexual meaning, you're seductive
and passionate, silent until spoken to and only
violet when provoked. Gorgeous and mysterious,
you've got it all.

What is your Medieval name?

So this is a neat quiz I took about my brain :) http://www.mindmedia.com/brainworks/second-paragraph.jsp
Your Brain Usage Profile

Auditory : 64%
Visual : 35%
Left : 76%
Right : 23%

lisa, you are mildly left-hemisphere dominant while showing a slight preference for auditory processing. This overall combination seems to indicate a well-working blend of logic and judgment and organization, with sufficient intuition, perception and creativity to balance that dominance.

You will at times experience conflict between how you feel and what you think which will generally be resolved in favor of what you think. You will find yourself interested in the practical applications of whatever material you have learned or whatever situation you face and will retain the ability to refine whatever knowledge you possess or aspects of whatever position you are in.

By and large, you will orient yourself toward intellectual activities and structure. Though not rigid, you will schedule yourself, plan, and focus on routine and continuity of operations, rather than on changes and disruptions

When changes or disruptions occur, you are likely to consider first how to ensure that such disruptions do The same balance is reflected in your sensory preference. You will tend to be reflective and measured in your interaction style. For the most part, you will be considered objective without being cold and goal-oriented while retaining the capacity to listen to others.

Preferentially you learn by listening and maintaining significant internal dialogues with yourself. Nevertheless, you have sufficient visualization capabilities to benefit from using graphs, charts, doodles, or even body movement to enhance your comprehension and memory.

To the extent that you are even implicitly aware of your hemispheric dominance and sensory style, you will feel most comfortable in those arenas which emphasize verbal skills and logic. Teaching, law, and science are those that stand out among the professions, along with technical sales and management.

I've been having the worst allergies in the entire world...

Yes, I found out who the secret gift sender was. It was my wonderful suitemates Hayley and Courtney :). I thought that Courtney might have had a hand in it. She told me she didn't at first and it confused me..lol. Finally, they confessed to having sent it. I thought it was really nice of them. They know that I don't ever really get anything in the mail so they sent me my new poster. It's super cool... I hung it up right by my desk.

This weekend was really great. I got to spend a lot of time with Mark. We went out to eat and all that good stuff. I felt really bad because I gave him really bad directions to meet Evan and me when he was picking me up from the drive home. It took took him like two hours to do a basically 45 minute drive. Some of that was traffic but most of it was my crappy directions. I didn't really know any better.... I still felt bad though..
